Phil Knott on photographing Jude Law: “I met him in Soho around the time of his film A.I. A lot of actors had agents’ studios in Soho those days. We took a little walk down Varrick Street and sat in a little cafe. The light was stronger outside and slowly edging in, so I used a spoon to get a reflection around the eye area. There wasn’t a particular concept here, just trying to get the beauty of someone. This is one of my favorite portraits.”25% of the profits from the sale of this print will be evenly distributed between Actors Fund and Color of Change.
